The registration of vessels under the Malta flag, whether under Part II or Part IIA, would require a registered owner or a registered charterer, as the case may be.

 

Examples of these would be: 

 

1. A Maltese shipping company;
2. A Maltese national;
3. An International Owner;
4. A European Union national.
